Installing the horse: The horse is best suited to being installed on a hip end roof but our customers have loads of clever and innovative ways of using our dragons in their project and install them with great effect. If there are existing ridge tiles on the roof a ridge tile can be removed and the finial can be fitted in place with mortar to bed them in. Some finials also include a metal strap on the underside of the finial out of view as well particularly if they are heavy. The metal strap allows the finial to be fixed to the roof structure with either a nail or screw and then the mortar bed then hides the metal strap and further strengthens the install
