Description The angled baby king dragon is an exclusive roof dragon with great definition and detail and it is based on a 45° angled ridge tile fitting and we also have another version based on a half round ridge tile fitting. It is a lovely roof dragon with vivid detailing including scales, wings and claws which really bring it to life. This dragon finial is on a slightly smaller scale in comparison to some of the other dragons and it makes it a great choice for porches, garages and workshops but it will also work well installed on a larger roof because it is still a good size and has great proportions
The inspiration for the design of this roof dragon came from the larger "classic roof dragon" in this range which also sits on an angled tile. This roof dragon was sculptured to fit a 45 degree angled tile on a smaller scale and has a traditional style and will add a stunning feature to any roof. The "classic roof dragon" is very popular but if installed on smaller roofs can look a little overbearing so this dragon was sculptured and is a very good alternative

Installing the dragon: The dragon can be installed anywhere on the roof along the ridge line but typically they are installed on the end of a gable or hip end. If there are existing ridge tiles on the roof a ridge tile can be removed and the finial can be fitted in place with mortar to bed them in. Some finials also include a metal strap on the underside of the finial out of view as well particularly if they are heavy. The metal strap allows the finial to be fixed to the roof structure with either a nail or screw and then the mortar bed then hides the metal strap and further strengthens the install
